I just went to the doctor and they told me that i had Meningitis and had a question is it a really bad illness please write back!!!!!!

There are different kinds of meningitis – viral (caused by a virus) and bacterial (caused by one of several types and strains of bacteria residing in the throat or nasal passages). How serious the illness is depends largely upon the type of meningitis you have contracted. I recommend that you speak to your healthcare provider about what type of meningitis you have.
